Forest road categorization is mostly dependable on silvicultural system used in particular country. In Slovenia it depends on traffic density and purpose of use. Forest roads in Slovenia are considered as primary forest transport network and are divided in three categories: G1, G2 and G3. In Czech Republic categorization of forest roads depends on and on. Known are categories 1L, 2L,3L and 4L. In Slovakia situation is similar, the only difference from Czechcategorization is that instead of 4L they have category TPC. Different categorization between countries also means different technical specification of forest roads. In Slovenia road width is 3,0 to 3,5 m on all forest roads. In Czech republic road width is dependent on road category and it ranges from 1,5 up to 5,0 m. Also there are big differences in materials used for road pavement.
