The thesis includes the concept of implementing smart tools in a company's assembly process. In this thesis, firstly, various technological implementations of smart screwdrivers that ensure traceability, quality, and time reduction are discussed. A presentation of the current situation in the company regarding the assembly process, with an emphasis on tightening, is presented. Based on the observation of the work process, current tightening process is analyzed in greater detail. A market review of smart screwdrivers from various providers has been conducted. The most suitable concept of smart screwdrivers, along with evaluation criteria, is selected. The target tightening processes after the implementation of smart tools are described. In the continuation of the thesis, a comparison of the current and target tightening processes is done. Time analysis of both versions of tighteing is carried out using two different methods. Through these, the approximate time savings that would be brought by the implementation of smart screwdrivers in the production process are determined.
