This thesis covers the topic of contactless measurement with use of a laser and a 2D lateral position detector (PDP90A).
Besides the sensor I used printed circuit board for connecting different components of the system and MyRIO-1900 which has an ARM processor for data processing and an FPGA for real time inputs and outputs.
For programming of the FPGA as well as the processor of the MyRIO I used LabVIEW which is a graphical programming environment, commonly used in automation, field of measurement and validation.
For demonstration purposes and verifying the functionality I used the audio output of the MyRIO and speakers, which have a mirror attached to them.
