Finding housing that suits an individual's preferences as well as provides a good quality of life can be a challenge. There is a lack of user-friendly tools for assessing the quality of life in selected locations, and existing tools are often too complex for most users.
We have addressed the aforementioned problem by implementing a web application that provides an uncomplicated way to assess the quality of life in a selected location according to the user's preferences. The application’s frontend, with its user-friendly graphical interface, allows users to select their preferences and locations, generate reports on the quality of life in the selected locations, as well as compare them with one another. The application's backend supports this functions by using the OSMnx package to analyse and process data extracted from the OpenStreetMap.
The result of this thesis is a web application that allows the user to make more informed decisions when choosing where to live.
