The purchase of the new Alenia C-27J Spartan transport aircraft for the Slovenian Military, presents a need to develop the loading procedures for the multipurpose cargo aircraft. Air transport, compared to other forms, offers greater transport speed, range and reliability. These features play an important role in military transport for providing logistical support to military units and transporting special cargo such as helicopters. The analysis of the means of transport and the cargo from the point of view of safety, capacity and limitations is the key to carrying out the transport with the aircraft in question. The final assignment presents the fundamental theory for understanding the problem under consideration. The Alenia C-27J plane and the Bell 206B helicopter, the transport of which the thesis deals with, are presented. The procedure for preparing and loading the helicopter and calculating the balance of the C-27J aircraft has been developed in accordance with international regulations and aircraft manuals. We found the justification for transporting the Bell 206 with the aircraft in question, in cases determined by the required time and length of the flight, or the situation.
