Strength calculations were carried out for a load-bearing steel structure in two compositions
in my final theses. The structure is loaded with a weight of a pharmaceutical ingredient
grinding mill that is attached to it. The systems were determined by ourselves, and for further
calculations the publicly available program SkyCiv was used. Based on the calculated
results, a suitable components were selected to be installed in the system, ensuring that the
requirements were met. The dispositions of the entire structure were also aclculated.
Attention was dedicated to the rotational part of the structure, which incorporates bearings.
They were selected in such a manner to ensure proper fulfillment of their function. The static
components within the structure are welded together. Our focus was put on a particular
welded joint that is under the highest load in norder to determine its suitability.
