Our task was the development of a dosing machine for filling an automatic feeding robot. The dosing machine is designed in a size of 2.5 x 2.3 x 12 m and has a volume of 51 m^3 for temporary feed storage. At the beginning of the master thesis, requirements were defined, which we had to follow throughout the entire development process. We turned the requirements into product specifications and, with the help of a market survey, determined the ideal values that we would like the developed machine to achieve. Following the VDI 2221 development process method, we divided the main function of the dosing machine into sub-functions within a function matrix. For all partial functions, we had to find suitable possible solutions using the market and literature review method. Further development followed in the development of three concepts, among which we chose the best one with the help of evaluation. For the chosen concept, we made a detailed 3D model that meets all the initially defined requirements. During development, we always had control over the appropriate selection of materials, price suitability and availability of components.
