The following work is an analysis of power consolidation of Ayatollah Khomeini and his followers in the period after the 1979 revolution. In the revolutionary movement that removed Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi from power, a huge number of political organizations and other social groups participated, united by a common goal: the removal of the Shah. Despite the fact that the religious component began to dominate the revolutionary movement during the revolution itself, the question of the plurality in the system was still open in the first two years after the revolution. In the four years after the revolution, Khomeini managed to either incorporate opposition movements and parties into the system or completely cut them off from power and eventually ban them.
