In the bachelor’s thesis, we analyzed the work process of the arborist sawyer during the maintenance work on sharp-leaf maple trees where the sawyer used the lifting basket technique. The sample included 51 trees located on the Pot Spominov in Tovarištva. The time study took place at the end of February, from 20/02/2023 to 23/02/2023. In total, we covered 19 hours and 59 minutes of working time of which 3 hours and 47 minutes were unproductive, which represents 18.8 % of the total time covered, productive time of 16 hours and 12 minutes, which represents 81.2% of the total time covered, and of this, the main productive time 8 hours and 41 minutes, which represents 43.4% of the total time covered, and the auxiliary productive time for 7 hours and 31 minutes, which is 37.6% of the total time. We analyzed the grooming time depending on the diameter of a tree, height, number of peaks, and crown volume. We found out
that 9.8 minutes were spent on the smallest diameter of 6 cm, and 62.80 minutes on the largest, which is 41 cm. By increasing the diameter by 10 cm, the time spent per tree increases by 9.0 minutes. With an average diameter of 21.8 cm, the time spent working on one tree was 23.4 minutes. For the smallest height of 4.29 m, we measured 25.3 minutes, and for the highest, which is 16.24 m, it took 51.6 minutes. By increasing the height by 1 m, the time spent per tree
increases by 3 minutes. For an average high tree of 8.3 m, the sawyer needed 23.4 minutes. We measured the time between 6 and 17 minutes for trees with one peak, and between 26 and 63 minutes for those with 4-6 peaks. For volumes up to 100 m3, trimming took an average of 13.51 minutes, and for volumes between 400 and 1000 m3, it took 35.9 minutes. With an average volume of 177.21 m3, trimming takes 23.4 minutes.
