In my thesis I analysed a three-way signalized intersection of Peruzzijeva and Betettova Street in Ljubljana, where a green arrow was recently installed to allow right-turners to drive even when the red traffic light is on. In the first part, the following concepts are presented: the theoretical basics of junctions, their safety and the level of service they must provide. The second part illustrates the manual count data and the analysis I performed using the SIDRA Intersections software. The improvements resulting from the introduction of the green arrow are described. Finally, conclusions and suggestions for examples of such intersections are given.
