In the final seminar assigment I will discuss the baroque art decorations of the Žiče charterhouse, which is, due to the lack of data on its perservation, still poorly researched. The paper touches on some works from the carthusian monastery, that have not been preserved to this day and some of the works, which are scattered in different parts of Slovenia. The focus of the final assignment will however be on the statues that use to stand on the main entrance of the monastery and are attributed to the Maribor sculptor Franc Krištof Reiss. Despite recent discussions from 2011 and 2015, their authorship is still problematic, as we have very little information about Reiss's work and the circumstances on the creation of the portal sculptures.
