The Encyclopaedia of Slovene Cultural History in Carinthia initiated by Prof. Dr. Katja Sturm - Schnabl is an intercultural research project with a terminological normative function. The terminology reflects the cultural historical processes in the region as well as their reception. More specifically, new findings with regard to legal history, cultural geography, history of art and sociolinguistics called for the screening of the existing terminology, as well as the elaboration, where necessary, of a modern terminology that is applicable to intercultural scientific dialogue.
