The aim of the thesis was to design and produce an interactive book for young people with added 3D elements, made of several different materials.
The content of the thesis is divided into several parts. The first (theoretical) part explains what an interactive book is and what types of such books there are. This part is followed by the theory of book production, covering the graphic prepress, printing, and graphic post-press of a hardbound book. An analysis of interactive books on the market and different ways to add 3D elements has also been made. The second part describes the materials and methods used and the process that led from conceptual design to graphic post-press of the final product. First, the format and size of the mirror were chosen, then the typography and font size were determined, and the baseline grid was set. Then the typesetting of the text was made, and illustrations were added. This was followed by the design of the cover and preparation for print. Next, the covers were handmade, and the book was hardbound, with the 3D elements added at the end by gluing. The result of the thesis is an interactive book for young people that requires the reader to actively participate and gives him a different reading experience.
