In 2016, an extensive Slovene manuscript describing the life of Mary and Jesus was discovered. Based on its language, time of origin, the way of recording and usage, the text belongs among "peasant" literature (or bukovništvo). The text is a Carinthian Slovene version of the German short edition of the work of the clairvoyant Maria de Agreda Mystica Ciudad de Dios. The German version was first published in 1739. The Slovene text is written in a hybrid variety of non-standard Slovene and the local idiom of Carinthian the upper Rosental Valley.
