In the study, we have created a database with the specifications of 53 skidders from nine different manufacturers, which are available on the market. Morphological analysis was used as a research method. We found that the manufacturer John Deere on average offers the heaviest tractors (20456 kg), with the most powerful engines (200.1 kW), which produce the highest average torque (1192.3 Nm). Also, tractors from this manufacturer are on average the longest (8,26 m), widest (3.39 m) and use the widest wheels (827.3 mm) with the largest average diameter of tyre (1887.3 mm). The Werner skidders use wheels with the highest average maximum load capacity (7100 kg), while the smallest (1120 kg) is on Hittner skidders. The highest average nominal ground pressure (87.54 kPa) is caused by the HSM skidders. The lightest tractors on average (6383.3 kg) using engines with the lowest average power (76.6 kW) and lowest average torque (360.6 Nm) are produced by company Hittner. On average, the shortest tractor (5.93 m) is offered by Vilpo, while the narrowest (2.06 m) is offered by the Hittner company. The narrowest wheels on average (429 mm) are used by Hittner, and the wheels with the smallest average diameter (1260 mm) are used Vilpo skidders. The lowest average nominal ground pressure (34.4 kPa) is caused by tractors from the Hittner company. It has been established, that with increase in engine power, the mass of the tractor and engine torque also increase, while the increase in overall dimensions of the skidders, the mass of machines and the diameter of the wheels also increase.
