Advances in the field of robotics and the modern way of life have led to the fact that people use more and more autonomously programmed devices in their daily lives. Among them are also drones, which are developing very quickly and can be used for several purposes. One of their possibilities is to use it in the calculation of material stocks in quarries and the determination of the geometry of the mining area. We will use the drone for two purposes, in the first, we will determine the area of dolomite release on the surface with the help of high-resolution imaging, and in the second, where we will determine the shape of the surface with the help of photogrammetry. In the first case, we will determine the boundaries of the acquisition area on the surface, and in the second case, its shape.
We will process the values thus obtained in one of the GIS/CAD programs. In processing, we will use geostatistical methods of interpolation of points obtained from the surface and exploratory wells. This will allow us to determine the geometry of the extraction body and calculate the reserves. With the help of a drone, we will create a more accurate 3D model of the quarry area, which will allow us to better plan the extraction of technical stone. For recording, we will use reference points in the acquisition area, which will be geodetically recorded. Until now, the calculation of reserves has mainly been carried out using the profile method, which is significantly less accurate than geostatistical methods.
