| Opomba: | TITLE: Slang in modern Russian / ABSTRACT: In my master's thesis I present the basic properties of slang, the path of its development and forming, its functioning and the spheres of its existence. The emphasis is on youth slang.
The master's thesis consists of two parts. The first part is theoretical. At the beginning I will say something about the social differentiation of the modern Russian language, the literary language and non-literary genres. Then I give definitions of the terms jargon, argo and slang and say something about the problem of defining these terms. In the fourth chapter, I described its two most extensive subtypes - general and youth slang. In the fifth chapter, I present the basic functions of slang. I have devoted the next chapter to a detailed presentation of the composition of the lexicon of the Russian language, as lexicon is the layer of language that interests us most, here I also present the morphological and lexical-semantic formation of slangisms. In the seventh chapter, I write about the historical development of slang and the circumstances that influence its development. I devoted the last chapter of my theoretical work to current slang dictionaries. In the second - empirical part of my master's thesis, I enclose a glossary of thirty-nine slang words, which I collected with the help of a questionnaire, which I distributed among 80 students of the student dormitory Moscow region state university. I wrote in the dictionary those words that were repeated in the questionnaires in more than five answers. I added meanings to the words in Russian, which I found in slang dictionaries, which I described in the eighth chapter of my assignment and my translations of words into Slovene. / KEYWORDS: social differentiation, jargon, argo, slang, slang functions, Russian language vocabulary, history of slang, dictionaries |
