The Bachelor thesis examines how a story and its elements effects the listener and his perception of surrounding. Trough introducing a story I point out the importance of belief and following reaction. I emphasize the problem of collective belief in relation to limiting our interpretations. With the help of Carl Jungs theories I explain stories effect on human psyche and the important role of imagination. I examine fear and experience of paranormal phenomena and what it tells us about ourselves. I present the meaning of synchronicity, which I relate to noticing unnatural elements in a place. I introduce legend-tripping as a way of finging new motifs in art. In the end I present two ideas for an art piece.
