The purpose of the bachleor thesis is to present different training systems of olive tree, to investigate their influence on growth, yield and oil quality and to find out which of them is the most suitable. Successful olive cultivation requres a detailed knowledge of the varietal characteristics, environmental requirements and agronomic measures. Olives are heliophytes and for them it is very important to recieve enough light. Proper pruining and training system play a big role in this. Training system must provide enough sunlight to the entire canopy, must be airy, must be easy to maintain and make it easier for us to work around the trees. There are different training system such as vase, monocone, ipsilon, globe and bush. The most suitable is the vase training system. This one ensures enough sunlight inside the canopy, good yield, good oil quality and is easy to cut and harvest. If the pruning is not made corectly not enough light will reach the lower branches and the inside of the canopy. The fertility will move to the periphery of the canopy, the leaves will start to fall off and branches in the lower parts will start to dry out.
