The purpose of the master‘s thesis was to design the signage system in the existing structure of The Faculty of Architecture, University of Ljubljana. The work took place in four phases: analysis, design, implementation and evaluation. The signage system was presented in the form of a tested physical prototype and digital visualizations. An important part was the analytical-research phase, which included research of design process of the signage system. Individual development stages of planning – analysis, design and realization were researched. In the project part of the master‘s thesis, the entire process was carried out on the signage system of the Faculty of Architecture, University of Ljubljana. In the analysis phase, the types of space, its users and their speculative pathways were identified, as well as the rules of the signage system, with the help of viewing, spatial experience, documentation, maps, user interviews and conversation with the client. Visual expression and parameters were determined at the design phase. This was followed by research into methods of implementation, testing and prototyping. In the realization phase, all the necessary prototyping documentation was prepared, which was submitted to the production unit and was also tested after implementation. Afterwards, new solutions were designed.
