This work deals with the proces of prototyping the jaw crusher. Already existent ice crushers are introduced, as well as the jaw crushers on which we have based our ice crusher model. The specifications of ice and the influence of the shape and size of ice grains for further applications are also investigated. Different prototypes of ice jaw crushers are presented, including a more detailed description of the final prototype and the selection of components. For the selection of components, we have used the equations of statics to determine the maximum loads that the components can withstand without deformation. Finally, possible problems that may occur during the operation of the crusher are described and possible improvements are presented for further work and development.
