This master's thesis presents the process of creating a modern textile installation called (RO)KOKOŠI, its inspiration and its message. The installation is the result of the collaboration of three artists – Klara Rešetič, Gašper Gajšek and Uroš Topić. The installation consists of three elements: a tapestry, a tall upright cabinet in the image of a chocolate milk by Ljubljanske mlekarne and a smaller cabinet in the image of Fructal's Pingo juice. With its aesthetic and the choice of materials, the installation reflects the interiors of Rococo mansions and contextualizes them for modern times. It addresses several current social issues and presents possible answers to them through the prism of Rococo.
In the theoretical part, the historical Rococo style is presented in more detail, which aesthetically influenced the artwork. Examples of modern interpretations of classical tapestry are also presented. In the practical part, the tapestry (RO)KOKOŠI is presented in more detail, with a special emphasis on its technical challenges.
