In the introduction, the author explains arguments in favour of considering Pavel Medvešček Klančar‘s ethnographic opus as an authentic source on Western Slovenian nature worshippers’ counterculture. She then argues for denomination “Western Slovenian Nature Worship” as opposed to “Old Believers from the Soča River region”. Next, she theorizes the Western Slovenian nature worshippers‘ community as potential primordial societal form and Foucauldian heterotopia. Central focus of the text is on specifics of territorial administration of the nature worshippers’ community, their political organisation as well as principal ideological elements of the nature worshippers‘ counterculture. In the conclusion, the author discusses the importance of nature worshippers‘ attitude towards nature and their governance system for the contemporary (Slovenian) society.
