The world is changing immeasurably day by day but the development of technology is advancing even faster. Because of that, the learning processes are being moved online, via electronic devices. This requires publishers and authors to go with the time and create learning materials, adapted and upgraded, according to the new needs of educational processes. The first part of the thesis presents the Rules for the certification of textbooks, which deals not only with printed but also electronic materials, and the procedure by which the textbook becomes ready for use for educational purposes. Based on the Rules, the thesis also presents the role of teaching materials, followed by an overview of the development of digital learning materials in Slovenia. The changes are most visible from concrete examples, so the second part begins with a review of materials, published by Mladinska knjiga in its years of existence and it's then compared with the entire book market. The second part then proceeds with the presentation of the novelties and upgrades of UČIMse.com website, compared to the findings in diploma thesis from 2017. The ones that occur most often, when using the website, are then presented more detailed.
