The thesis includes an overview of abandonment of online shopping factors and the impact of payment method availability on the final online purchase. I researched the attitudes of consumers towards online shopping, online data privacy, attitudes towards the online shopping cart and preferable online payment methods. I came to the final conclusion through the analysis of an online survey and found that the most popular online payment methods are card payment, PayPal, and cash on delivery payment. Important factors in online shopping include online privacy, trusting the seller to not share personal and financial information with third parties, and the possibility of additional payment authentication at the time of purchase.
