One of the most important resources available to organizations in adapting to a competitive market are its employees, who easily acquire new skills (Davenport and Prusak, 1997). When it comes to employee development, many companies use various forms of training, including mentoring. In recent decades, mentoring in companies has gained in popularity, as many organizations find in the mentoring program not only bonuses for the mentee, but also bonuses for the organization (Winter and Jackson, 2014). Young SaaS (Software as a Service) companies, which offer their cloud software in the form of a subscription to other users, need highly educated staff for the successful operation and development of the company. The fact that SaaS organizations are a service model, where there is a lot of contact with clients who, in addition to taking good care of their needs, also want reliable software, puts SaaS organizations in a specific position in establishing a mentoring program. The aim of the master's thesis is to design an internal mentoring program for the SaaS company SciNote, which will serve as a process of exchanging internal knowledge between employees and promote their career growth. The purpose of the mentoring program is to further educate employees who are already performing their job functions and would like to improve or take on new tasks in the future.
