The thesis examines and analyses youth and family tourism in the Municipality of Cerklje na Gorenjskem. Through the review and analysis of the existing tourist offer, accommodation providers and tourist infrastructure, the work tries to determine to what extent the segment of family and youth tourism is already developed. We came to the conclusion that the municipality offers a wide range of activities and infrastructure for young people and families, which is not interconnected and is concentrated mainly in the hilly part of the Municipality of Cerklje na Gorenjskem. With this knowledge in mind, we presented the idea of a Youth and family centre in Adergas, where individuals, couples and families would come to reconnect with nature, learn about the natural and cultural heritage of the area and gain practical skills. The whole concept, which would be implemented with the help of local people, would be based on a variety of workshops and lectures, where they would learn about alternative forms of healing, medicinal plants, meditation, local traditions and the natural and cultural heritage. In conclusion, it proposes a new tourism product that would contribute to longer tourist stays in the municipality: a plan of day trips or multi-day excursions for individuals, couples and families. The latter is based on an organised combination of cuisine, accommodation, recreation and discovering the natural and cultural heritage of the municipality´s plain and the upland. The successful further development of tourism requires the effective organisation and cooperation of both existing tourism providers and the development of new products.
