The purpose of my thesis is to find out what are the forms of parental mediation in the use of digital technologies among toddlers from 0 to 3 years. So, I will check how parents introduce digital technologies to their toddlers, how toddlers use digital technologies, and how are parents connected with toddlers when using digital technologies. We live in a time where is the use of digital technologies used by every younger population, sometimes even babies. Due to the increasing availability of digital technologies, toddlers start using TV, computer, mobile phone, etc. very early in their lives. I want to explore when parents allow their toddlers to use digital technologies. The aim of my research is to find out what are the forms of parental mediation by toddlers in the use of digital technologies, and what is the purpose of use and whether parents consider the use of digital technologies in toddlers as an advantage or a disadvantage. In the in-depth interview, I will be involved in a family with a toddler, where, in addition to answering questions, I will also be able to observe actual everyday behavior and parental mediation in the use of digital technologies. I will try to stick to the questions asked so as not to accidentally influence the thinking and later answers of the parents. I want to get real answers, and not just socially desirable ones. When I will asking sub-questions, I will be especially careful not to use subjective thinking.
