This master thesis represents experiencing the female body and femininity, that are dictated by social networks and the male gender. What kind of image we show on social network is many times a reflection of how we perceive ourselves and our body. Our body is not only a biological phenomenon, but it is also an object by means of which we in particular situations manipulate the opposite person. The image of the individual is always exposed to the social-cultural context, on which we cannot influence, and it dictates norms and rules which we have to follow, otherwise we are faced with stigmatization. The work below based on semi structured interviews analyses the perception and the opinions of the interlocutors and awareness of what kind of impact social networks have on how we perceive ourselves and how the contribute to that. In experiencing one's own self-image the interviewees are realistic and have a clear view what kind of a problem an unrealistic beauty standard which is shown on social networks can be. But various factors are everywhere, what kind of impact social networks have on an individual and what is women's perception of men's opinions.
