Black steel slag is a by-product in steel production industry, which when it is properly processed, shows great potential for further use in concrete composites. As a part of diploma thesis, we performed investigations on black steel slag and concrete composites, from which we removed part of the natural aggregate and replaced it with black steel slag aggregate. We also prepare the reference mixture, which contained only natural aggregate, so that we were able to compare properties and analyze influence of the black steel slag aggregate on the concrete performance. All investigations were performed in the premises of the Faculty of civil and geodetic engineering of University of Ljubljana.
