Odprta kuhna is the most recognizable culinary event in Slovenia, which for the ninth year in a row brings together a variety of food and beverage providers with foreign and domestic visitors. The purpose of the thesis is to determine the motivational factors and the level of satisfaction of visitors to the culinary events Odprta kuhna. Knowing the key motives for attending the event allows us a better insight into the wishes and intentions of the visitors. It also allows us more accurate segmentation and more focused marketing of the event. Measuring the level of visitor satisfaction, however, is a key step in achieving the best results and detecting errors in the service process. With the survey of local visitors of Odprta kuhna, we came to the conclusion that the key motives for visiting the event are physiological and social motives, as visitors come to the event mainly to taste the food and drinks, try food from a specific provider and socialize with friends and family. We also concluded that visitors are satisfied with the event and are still attending it with interest.
