Introduction: sexuality is a complex process, a natural biological human need that is present throughout life. Closely related to sexuality is the sex drive (libido), which is the basis of human sexual activity. An important aspect of sexuality in both sexes is also the experience of orgasm. Both in Slovenia and around the world, there are many women who cannot achieve orgasm, which is often accompanied by negative emotions and feelings of inadequacy and failure. Feelings of shame, guilt, fear and despair contribute to the development of a disorder in the orgasmic experience. Purpose: The aim of the diploma thesis is to present the factors that influence the frequency of orgasm experience in women and to determine the satisfaction of women with their sexual life. Methods: The theoretical part of the diploma thesis is based on the descriptive method, which comprises the analysis of literature, which was obtained from online databases Google Scholar, PubMed, ScienceDirect and in physical form in the Regional and Study Library Murska Sobota. In the empirical part, we used a quantitative method of work with a questionnaire developed in the 1Ka web portal. The target population were adult women. Participation in the survey was voluntary and anonymous. The questionnaire contained 23 questions and was posted on the social network Facebook. Data was analysed using SPSS 26.0 statistical software. Results: The survey was conducted from 6/1 to 6/12/2021. A total of 1409 questionnaires were completed. Most of the participants were between 21 and 30 years old. Most of the participants had high school education. More than half of the respondents experience orgasm most often during masturbation and most experience it every time during masturbation. More than half of the respondents experience clitoral orgasm most frequently. The position in which respondents most often experience orgasm during intercourse is missionary position. The factors that bother respondents the most in their sex lives are: too little foreplay, too little passion, and sex that is too short. Based on the Pearson correlation coefficient, we found a correlation between sexual satisfaction and frequency of intercourse, and a correlation between having a partner ensure that they experience orgasm and sexual satisfaction. Discussion and conclusion: Sexual satisfaction is experienced very individually by people and depends on many factors, such as the quality, frequency and pleasure attributed to sexual activities, but also on general health and well-being or circumstances such as religious beliefs.
