The use of precision farming technology like senzors for precision farmin, control systems and precision devices is becoming an increasingly important activity in agriculture. With the use of precision farming technology farmers save money and time, but they also cultivate the land efficiently. Due to growing population and competitiveness between farmers some technologies will become mandatory equipment on several farms. The thesis describes some modern technologies, of which the use has spread from fields, orchards and vineyards to the grassland. Grassland world will not benefit from these technologies in the same extent as other types of land, because the forage production in the grassland world is one of the most difficult and at the same time one of the cheapest forage production. Problems with the use of these technologies are caused by fragmented plots of land, their distance and the slope of some lands. The grassland is rich in biodiversity, which can be disrupted by the overexploitation and use of modern technologies, which is why the use of these in appropriate quantities applies. From an economic point of view, investing in modern technologies in the grassland is different from investing in arable land. On the fields, the farmer can produce more food in a shorter time and return on investment in modern technologies faster. In this thesis a few precision farming technologies that are used on the grassland, will be presented, which are: monitoring of biomass, system of automatic steering on tractors and virtual fences. The purpose of this thesis is to present some of the precision technologies, that are in use on the grassland and to present their advantages and disadvantages.
