This thesis presents the procedures for the development of a test rig, which is intended for testing coil springs with shape memory. The aim of the task is to design a prototype capable of cyclically loading such actuators and capturing data during the test. In this paper, we first review the situation in the field of classical tensile testing rigs and already existing testing rigs for materials with shape memory. This serves as a basis for setting specifications and designing a morphological matrix. We then put together several concepts that are later evaluated. The most appropriate concept is further developed and improved. The final appearance and operation of the prototype is presented in the form of a 3D CAD model.
