In this bachelor’s thesis, I calculated the vapour pressure of the mixture of isopropanol and water found in hand disinfectants at the temperatures at which we actually use them. Isopropanol/water mixture is often found in hand disinfectants. Based on experimental data for the same system at higher temperatures, the vapour pressure was determined at lower temperatures using extrapolation technique. For the calculation, I used the equations found in the book Properties of Gases and Liquids. I then presented the results in the form of tables and graphs. The dependence of the vapour pressure on the composition at lower temperatures follows the one measured at higher temperatures.
