With the help of a corporate identity, the brand or company presents itself to the public. Part of creating a corporate identity is knowing the brand’s values and goals, because the identity should reflect the brand’s personality. Many people mistakenly think that corporate identity only includes the logo, even though it is only a part of the visual elements. But in reality, a corporate identity also includes verbal elements, such as the voice of the brand or company, and the emotional elements, which represent the feelings we experience when interacting with a company.
The theoretical part of the diploma thesis describes in detail the concepts of corporate identity and graphic prepress. Visual, verbal and emotional elements are presented within the overall graphic design. Graphic prepress is based on the preparation of files for printing or online publication. The analysis of the brand, its conceptual design, the final design and planning of the visual elements and the final preparation of files for further use are presented in the experimental part of the diploma thesis.
The aim of the diploma thesis was to develop a unified corporate identity for the brand »Zaspanček« (eng. Sleepyhead), from the concept to the final preparation of the files, which visualizes its values and makes a positive impression on potential customers. All elements of the identity are properly prepared, as the preparation of the final files is an important part of the design process.
The aim of the diploma thesis was to plan, design and prepare the entire graphic identity for the brand »Zaspanček«, which produces handmade children’s blankets. In addition, the aim of the thesis was to design a business card, label, packaging, promotional materials, etc. At the same time, great emphasis was placed on properly prepared files for printing or screen display.
