The thesis contains the main properties of Macor ceramic, which are important for its use and during processing for achieving the desired shape. Its most important feature is the ability to be machined. The processing is unusual, as the material with specific properties is used, that is why in this thesis there are provided guidelines for machining this ceramic on conventional milling machines with metalworking tools. Two representative products were made on a milling machine. For each sample a different tool material was used, one from high-speed steel and one from tungsten carbide. The analysis of the products was made with a digital microscope, and it showed that the surface of the product treated with carbide tool is better. The chipping of the edges at the tool entrance and exit into the material is smaller. The chipping is noticed at the entrance of the tool where it is downmilled, and at the exit where it is upmilled.
