In this Master's Thesis, I try to present the theoretical groundwork and implications of my
work in the area of performative and activist art in the timespan of the last 3 years. In the
opening chapters I assign special attention to the problematics of speciesism, necropolitics
and biopolitics in contemporary consumerist society, which I confront in the majority of my
artistic practices. After that, I try to position my art in the context of contemporary conceptual
phenomena of performance art, body art and activist art, which all play an important role in
the conception of my artistic actions. In the conclusion of the Thesis, I evaluate the
relationship between my artistic production and the construct of reality and lay down the
contours of a future project, a performance art piece in the making, in which I will strive to
reconsider the directions of my artistic development from a new perspective.
