After the mining works on a mine are finished and the mine is permanently closed, the holder of the mining right must carry out monitoring in area of old mine works, in accordance with the applicable legislation and to control the extraction area. Monitoring includes the monitoring of changes that have occurred during the execution of mining works, both on the surface and below it.
The paper presents the starting points for the preparation of a monitoring program after the mining works were finished. The extraction of mineral raw material in an underground mine results in various impacts on the surface and underground space. Areas or segments of monitoring are divided into two parts in this thesis. The cave part of the monitoring includes the monitoring of geomechanical, climatic and hydrogeological changes. Similarly, it is necessary to provide for the monitoring on the surface, where special attention is paid to the stability conditions of the surface above old mine works and the hydrogeological conditions in the area of the extraction area or the impact area.
The master's thesis is a practical presentation of the monitoring program that needs to be developed when the mine is closed. The program covers areas, presents methods and methods of measurements, as well as reporting of them. Analysis of already existing measurements, which need to be included in the preparation of the monitoring program are also presented.
In conclusion of the thesis, a summary of the monitoring program is presented, which must be carried out in case of finishing mining works or after the mining works are finished.
