In the master's thesis, we presented two ten-hour ice skating programs. The first one is intended for ice skaters who do not have or have very little prior ice skating knowledge, and the second one for those who already know the basics of ice skating. We described the development of ice skating through history, the equipment we need for ice skating, and safety on and off the ice rink. The main part of the master's thesis is divided into the design and implementation of an ice skating course. In the design part, we focused on the course of the program, group forming and contacts with parents or guardians. We developed the course that consists of two ten-hour programs. The design of one hour includes the introductory, main and concluding part. The class includes games, polygons, repetition of already learned ice skating elements and learning new elements. This is followed by descriptions of the elements from the initial to the final position. We included their biggest mistakes, the consequences of mistakes, and suggestions on how to fix them. We also added complementary and additional exercises. Finally, we described and presented the course of the games that occur throughout the program.
The master's thesis is based primarily on many years of personal experience in the field of ice skating. It is intended for teachers and coaches as a help to carry out an ice skating course. The thesis is also intended for everyone else who wants to ice skate and does not know how to start, or would like to upgrade their ice skating skills.
