In recent years, an upward trend in energy renovation of buildings has appeared, due to an increase in prices of energents. This can lead to a reduction of heating costs and a greater environmental awareness; at the same time, it also puts an emphasis on the quality of living. The analysed building is a standalone family house in Postojna. In this diploma thesis we have measured the following parameters: air temperature, temperature of interior surfaces, relative air humidity, and concentration of carbon dioxide indoors. We also monitored the outside air temperature and relative air humidity.
We calculated the selected parameters of building physics of constructional assemblies and compared them to the national requirements. We found that the roof and the floor don’t meet the requirements that were valid then [1], and all construction assemblies don’t meet today’s requirements [2]. Based on the results, we suggested solutions and then analysed them. Lastly, calculation of energy use of the energy renovated building was made and compared to the energy use values of the existing building. With energy renovation we would lower building annual energy use from 15000kWh (115kWh/m2) to 10300kWh (80kWh/m2) without changing any doors and windows.
