The purpose of the master's thesis entitled Dyeing with invasive alien plants and design of decorative household items is to obtain natural dyes for the purpose of dyeing textiles and designing collections of textile household items. Dyeing with natural dyes is an ancient refining process that has been phased out by synthetic dyes due to advances in technology, society, and high market needs. Due to the need to preserve the environment, raise awareness of sustainability and responsible consumption, products dyed with natural dyes are gaining popularity among the consumers once again. The master's thesis presents the process of obtaining dyes from invasive alien plants with the aim of obtaining the widest possible color spectrum. The latter was the starting point for designing collections of decorative household items. By measuring the color of the obtained patterns, and by combining manual impression of plants with the use of computer programs, textile patterns and simulations of decorative household items were created.
