In the thesis we focus on the issue of individual freedom in the time of artificial intelligence. By discussing artificial intelligence, surveillance, and the emergence of big data, we are opening up new dimensions of artificial intelligence capabilities and advances. The revolution in technology raises fundamental questions of access to data, which are essential to raise the quality of artificial intelligence. Consequently, we face the threat of privacy, which is crucial in the actualization of individual freedom. In this thesis we examine in detail the different types of surveillance with artificial intelligence and the use of algorithmically supported prediction, which is mainly characteristic of individual social subsystems, and the latter strongly shape the individual's opportunities in different areas of his life. Through the contextualization of surveillance through artificial intelligence, which mostly takes place in the domain of the private sector or through new configurations between the states and the private sectors, we will examine new centers of power and how artificial intelligence changes the authority over humanity.
