The aim of the diploma thesis is to introduce the development of software for an overviewing application for the electro-energetic network, made by GDB d.o.o., which enables higher efficiency, better communication and more efficient system management of electric energy distribution. The company made a similar application in the past, which was completely overhauled in the interest of improving user experience and adding advanced functionalities.
The main objective has been development of the application with streamlined functionality, simplification of user interface and adaptability to various devices. The new application has been upgraded with an option to display the network on a map, analytics of open and isolated devices and hierarchic topologic display of electrical power grid. The application was developed in the programming language JavaScript with the usage of React.JS and D3.JS Library. The back-end part of the system was developed in Springboot framework of the programming language Java. Git web application GitHub was used to keep track of the changes in the code. The final version of the application has been published on the web via Amazon AWS services, where it is available to all electro-energetic distributors who have the required authorisation data.
