The masters thesis is focused on the inclusion of a boy with Autism Spectrum Disorder, who is included in the program for preeschool children that implements customized education and special needs help.In the theoretical part we introduce the characteristics of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. In relevance to the behaviour of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, we point out the importance of the process of the mind, so in continuation we include cognitive theory. We discuss The theory of mind, The theory of weak central coherence and the Deficit in the area of executive functions. In the central part we present the formal frame, which regulates preeschool education of children with special needs in the Republic of Slovenia. In the end of the theoretical part, we define the content of the individualized program for children with special needs in preeschool education.
The empirical part offers results of the case study of the boy, who is included in this program. We performed an analysis of the boy's individualized program, observed his interactions with the group and conducted an interview with the educators. Those were the kindergarten teacher, the assistant kindergarten teacher and the speech therapist.
