The future of wood industry is to create innovative products, and continue to improve the existing ones. The company called Brest Pohištvo d.o.o. will, among other future furniture programmes, provide a new line of office furniture. To develop a new product it is necessary to first review the existing products on the market. We analysed active compnies producing and selling office furniture. We reviewed the parts of office furniture, and investigated the distribution of the space. We examined the area od workspace ergonomics, and standards for office furniture. In development of the product itself we focused especially on office system functionality, aesthetics and ergonomics. Contemporary computer programmes for visualization contribute to the product development.
