We analysed the websites of selected small and micro Slovenian timber companies. We prepared an evaluation model to evaluate websites based on certain criteria (content elements, colour consistency, transparency, orientation, etc.). We found that these companies do not follow current design and technical guidelines on their websites. Ratings at specified criteria were in most cases really low. We made an economically acceptable, and at the same time also modern and efficient concept of optimal website for small and micro timber companies. Based on the model we prepared a proposal of website for a specific timber company.
