In this master's thesis, we analized the quality of orthophotos made with different processing procedures and cost-efficiency of their production. We made three orthophotos for each of the two study areas in the City of Ljubljana, i.e. one classical orthophoto and two true orthophotos. Different software was used for their production, which support different levels of data processing automation. We were especially interested in the results of automatic data processing to create a true orthophoto with the SURE software. We compared the semantic quality and the overall aesthetic appearance of all produced orthophotos. We also assessed the relative positional accuracy of each product and performed a visual comparison of geometric quality. Because the processing procedures differ depending on the selected software, we also compared the complexity of the procedures and the time needed for manual data processing, as well as the related processing costs. Finally, we made a SWOT analysis for the case of automatic data processing using the SURE software tool.
