Background: Short form of the disabilities of the arm, shoulder and hand outcome measure (QuickDASH) is a selfassessment questionnaire for impairments of the musculo-skeletal system of the upper limb and limitations at certain activities. It combines the physical, social and psychological dimension. QuickDASH was translated into Slovene and is freely available online. The purpose was to review the measurement properties of QuickDASH. Methods: Studies of QuickDASH (in English) measurement properties identified in PubMed, CINAHL, Cochrane and PEDro were included in the review. Results: QuickDASH was studied in patients with upper limb impairments in clinical settings (13 studies) and in healthy workers and workers with musculoskeletal disorders of the neck or upper limb in the workplace (3 studies). In four studies excellent reliability of the individual at re-test and high internal consistency was found. High correlation with the DASH and certain self-assessment questionnaires and moderate correlation with visual analog scale to assess pain were found. The minimum clinically important difference varies significantly between studies. Conclusions: QuickDASH is a valid, reliable and sensitive outcome measure. It is a useful addition to physiotherapy assessment of the functional capacity of the upper limb in patients with musculoskeletal disorders, patients with upper limb amputations or burns and breast cancer patients.
