The company uses titanium alloys with alloying elements to increase oxidation resistance at elevated temperature, which reduces its formability. In master’s thesis we focused on the study of the formability properties of two most commonly used titanium alloys. We focused on the formability properties in three different directions according to sheet metal rolling. The research of the sheet metal included thickness measurement in certain places, and the relaxation of deep-drawn products based on optical 3D measurement. Also a metallographic analysis of titanium alloys with hardness measurement is presented. According to our presented research of the sheet metal forming properties, a suitable titanium alloy and the appropriate blank cutting direction are selected for the deep draying process.
